1. Introduction

Welcome to Gliimu Institute of Media Technologies. We are a hybrid institution merging formal education with practical media production. This Privacy Policy and Terms of Service document outlines our practices regarding data collection, usage of our platform (Hub & Library), and the rules governing your participation in our programmes and commercial services.

By enrolling in our courses, utilizing our digital platforms, or engaging with our commercial services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms outlined in this document.

2. Data Collection & Privacy

To facilitate our educational and commercial operations, we collect necessary information. We do not sell your data.

• Student Data: Names, contact details, academic records, and portfolio links necessary for enrollment and certification.
• Platform Usage: Data regarding your interaction with the Gliimu Hub and Library to improve user experience and system security.
• Commercial Clients: For agency services, we collect business contact details and project requirements to fulfill service delivery.

3. Programmes & Courses

3.1 Ambassador Diploma Programme

Our flagship diploma is designed for long-term career development. Admission is selective.

• Tuition: Fees are structured annually (₦250,000) or via approved installment plans.
• Enrollment Terms: By enrolling, the student commits to the full duration of the programme unless official withdrawal is granted.

3.2 Short Courses (Decoy Students)

We offer shorter, intensive certification courses (e.g., Design, Tech Basics) to a wider volume of students.

• Pricing: Short courses are priced separately (typically ₦25,000 for 3 months) and are distinct from the Diploma programme.
• Conversion: High-performing students in short courses may be invited to upgrade to the Ambassador Diploma based on merit and availability.

4. Commercial Services (Agency)

Gliimu operates a commercial arm offering Media Production, Branding, and Web Development services to external clients.

• Service Delivery: Services are delivered by our team of experts and supervised students (interns) to provide practical experience.
• Client Intellectual Property: Upon full payment for commercial services, all final deliverables (videos, designs, code) become the property of the client. Gliimu retains the right to use anonymized versions for portfolio purposes.
• Student Participation: Clients are informed when students are part of the project team. Professional standards are maintained regardless of the student status of the team member.

5. Intellectual Property & Resources

5.1 Gliimu Materials

All course materials, lecture slides, curriculum documents, software tools, and proprietary frameworks created by Gliimu are the exclusive intellectual property of Gliimu Institute of Media Technologies.

These materials are provided to enrolled students solely for educational use during their active study period. Redistribution, resale, or public sharing of these materials without written permission is prohibited.

5.2 Student Work

Students retain ownership of creative work (films, designs, code) created during their study. However, Gliimu retains a perpetual, royalty-free license to use this work for promotional, archival, and showcase purposes to demonstrate the quality of our training.

6. Conduct, Payments & Liability

6.1 Student Conduct

Students are expected to uphold professionalism. Vandalism of equipment, harassment, plagiarism, or theft will result in immediate disciplinary action, including expulsion without refund.

6.2 Payment Terms

Agreed payment schedules (Monthly, Work n' Pay, etc.) must be strictly adhered to. Default on payment may result in suspension of access to physical facilities, the Hub, and Library until accounts are regularized.

6.3 Limitation of Liability

Gliimu is not liable for indirect damages. For Commercial Services, our total liability is limited to the refund of the specific service fee paid. We are not liable for loss of business revenue or third-party damages.
